Jamboard for Virtual Learning

October 13, 2020 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Presenter: Brittany Morrison, 4th-Grade Teacher

Location: PIHS – Hall of Fame Room (space limited) & Virtually (no limit)

As we venture into this new world of Remote Learning we are met with daily questions and exploring this unknown territory! One of the platforms teachers are using most recently is “Jamboard.”

Jamboard is an interactive way for students to access and complete the in class worksheets that are being taught each day without you having to recreate them!! As we have made our way into using Jamboard we have found some do’s and don’ts on the teachers end as well as the parents end.

Join Britany for a training on “Intro to Jamboard” and learn the beginning stages of using this program and some useful tips and tricks along the way. She will cover how to create a jamboard file, upload it to google classroom, how to open a file (on the parents end), and what to do if the file will not open. She will show you how easy it is to add these files to google classroom so your students can access them and stay up to date with your in class learners. Stop recreating worksheets and make more time for YOU! You will need your laptop, and your ipad if available.

Prior to the training be sure to scan a set of worksheets that coincide with a unit you are using and save them to your desktop. You do not need to create a folder for them- we will do that in the training! (For example: I used my reading vocabulary worksheet, reading skill worksheet and reading assessment for my unit 1, lesson 1 story) We hope this training helps answer some of your questions and helps you make this transition to remote learning easier!!!

Certificates of attendance will be provided.

A link will be provided for those attending virtually.
