Empower Tips & Tricks

The target audience for this workshop include teachers and admin who have been using the Empower LMS on a regular or semi-regular basis. With the addition of Empower 3.0, there may be some confusion as to which version to use and when. Many features in Empower 2.3 continue to be useful and more efficient than the new version – Empower 3.0. This workshop will review simple tips & tricks learned along the way that make Empower a more user-friendly program. Here are a few topic items that will be discussed:

  • Differences Between Empower 3.0 and Empower 2.3
    ○ Scoring & Reporting (Leveling & Auto-promoting)
    ○ Creation Tools
    ○ Identifying Student Need at the Teacher Level
  • Target Browser, Checklists, & Student View Options
  • Types of Progress Reports (Advantages & Disadvantages of Each)

Note: To prepare for this workshop, there will be a virtual workshop on Monday, December 11 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm through GoTo Meeting. This is to make sure that all items are in place to run a successful meeting on the 20th. Any requests to Empower for changes will have ample time to happen between this date and the 20th.
